Creative Ties CIC

Creative Ties CIC is the non-profit arm of The Textile Studio, officially incorporated in Aug 2022. Overseen by three trustees, formulating Creative Ties CIC allows us to fundraise to run projects that bring craft & textiles, personal development and well-being together. Creative Ties CIC manages the 'Have a Go Craft' sessions. These sessions are hosted by The Textile Studio and was in the past been subsidised by the Cheshire Community Foundation. Watch this space! Donations on behalf of Valarie Anne Pye | 1946 - 2022

Sadly one of the founding students to the textile classes started by Maria in 2017, passed away in Dec 2022. Valarie was not only a wonderful person, she was an incredibly talented artist with an amazing career at Granda TV. Valarie truly was a real advocate of creative arts, and some prints of her floral works have had donations made against them to Creative Ties CIC. Thank you to Moira Hurst, Gillianne Adams and Diana Rosof-Williams for your donations.

'Have a Go Craft'

Theses sessions are aimed at those interested in learning various textiles & crafts and keen to be creative. No previous experience needed. Just have a go in a comfortable social space and boost your well-being and creativity. You could be learning about felt-making, easy textile print techniques or picking up tips to help you make things at home - all whilst enjoying a cuppa, having a bit of ‘me time’ and making new friends. At only £3, the sessions have been made affordable to all due to the financial support provided to Creative Ties CIC from the Cheshire Community Foundation (a declaration of employment/benefit status is required when booking)

Perhaps you care for a relative and just need a bit of 'me time' over felt making or printing with a cuppa, then this is the space for you! Each week we have a different craft/project to get immersed in; some are wet, some a little messy and some involve cutting tools.
