Creative Ties CIC
Creative Ties CIC is the non-profit arm of The Textile Studio, officially incorporated in Aug 2022. Overseen by three trustees, formulating Creative Ties CIC allows us to fundraise to run projects that bring craft & textiles, personal development and well-being together. Creative Ties CIC manages the 'Have a Go Craft' sessions. These sessions are hosted by The Textile Studio and are currently subsidised by the Cheshire Community Foundation. To support us:

Donations on behalf of Valarie Anne Pye | 1946 - 2022
Sadly one of the founding students to the textile classes started by Maria in 2017, passed away in Dec 2022. Valarie was not only a wonderful person, she was an incredibly talented artist with an amazing career at Granda TV. Valarie truly was a real advocate of creative arts, and some prints of her floral works have had donations made against them to Creative Ties CIC. Thank you.
'Have a Go Craft'
Theses sessions are aimed at those interested in learning various textiles & crafts and keen to be creative. No previous experience needed. Just have a go in a comfortable social space and boost your well-being and creativity. You could be learning about felt-making, easy textile print techniques or picking up tips to help you make things at home - all whilst enjoying a cuppa, having a bit of ‘me time’ and making new friends. At only £3, the sessions are affordable to all due to the financial support provided to Creative Ties CIC from the Cheshire Community Foundation
Perhaps you care for a relative and just need a bit of 'me time' over felt making or printing with a cuppa, then this is the space for you! Each week we have a different craft/project to get immersed in; some are wet, some a little messy and some involve cutting tools.
How to book:
We have tried to make these sessions flexible so you can book all or just a few, as well as cancel and rearrange easily. Sessions can be booked week by week, in bundles or as a block of 11 weeks until Easter. Places are limited however. Book here on the studio website or at the Meet and greet | Thursday 12th January 1-3pm (see below)
To avoid disappointment: If you are coming in the 12th to book, check to see if we have already moved to a waiting list.
1. To book here - start by looking at the session plan and note the dates you fancy. (below)
2. Set yourself up a Log-in
3. Buy a pricing plan ie. 8 credits = 8 sessions or say just buy 3.
(Note: credits are valid until the last date of this spring block)
4. Using the calendar, select the right date (or search for the next free slot), book some or all of the sessions you fancy using your credits. You can only select 1 session at a time as you book, feel free to book them all ahead so you are sure you can get the sessions you want.
Meet and Greet | Thursday 12th January 1-3pm:
